What Our Residents Have Been Up To Recently

The residents have been busy this month enjoying the beautiful sunshine and participating in a wide variety of engaging activities at Penrose Court Care Home. When the weather allows us we often encourage our residents to explore the local area of Biggleswade and take part in our varied activities programme in our private gardens. 

A huge part of Penrose Court Care Home is the activities and events we have to offer. Our activities programme involves our residents taking part in a number of fun activities, visiting the local area or even making full use of the facilities we have to offer. This month the residents enjoyed soaking up the sunshine whilst being fully protected and hydrated with the supervision of our experienced team 

Summer BBQ

To celebrate the glorious sunshine the residents enjoyed a well overdue BBQ in our private gardens. This was an opportunity to gather the residents together whilst bonding over delicious foods in a quiet, tranquil setting.  

Litter Picking in the Community

Ensuring that our residents build and develop bonds in and out of our care home has a huge impact on their independence. Encouraging our residents to connect with the local community is a fantastic way of improving their sense of ownership, and mental and physical health. 

By doing so, before the heatwave, our residents gave back to the local community of Biggleswade and litter-picked Delius road. This provided our residents with a sense of achievement and was highly appreciated by the local community. 

A Trip to M&S

At Penrose Court Care Home we encourage our residents to continue their much-loved hobbies whilst making sure to focus on adopting their independence with the support of a member of our team. This month the residents enjoyed a supervised visit to Marks & Spencers to do some shopping and to have some tea and cake in a cafe. 

Our team go above and beyond to ensure that our residents participate in our activities and events to ensure they live a home-from-home lifestyle. From visiting the local area of Biggleswade to taking full advantage of our fantastic facilities, we make sure that our residents continue to do activities they love and keep them happy.
