What Does Dementia Care Mean?
Dementia care often only focuses on the illness and accompanying loss of function rather than the person themselves. This worsens the problem and leads to much frustration and stress. People living with dementia respond far better when their care promotes their independence and affords them dignity and respect.
At Penrose Court we acknowledge that no two people are the same, some individuals will only require minor support, while others will need considerably more. Our person centered approach to care, is designed to foster a sense of person and independence as long as possible.

At Penrose Court we offer a range of facilities to help our residents live independently, in an environment that is going to be comfortable and stimulating for them. We can give unrivalled care to our dementia residents because of our extensive understanding and expertise in working with people with memory loss. There is not just one solution when it comes to supporting people with dementia, this is why at Penrose Court our dementia care plans are unique to each and every person’s requirements, as well as the wants and views of their friends and family.
