Penrose Court warmly welcomes anyone who is looking for a place to rest and recover. If you are looking for short term care for a loved one or yourself for any reason, we have a number of options that are perfect for you.
A short stay in Penrose Court can help people recuperate faster after being ill or spending time in hospital, also allowing time for adaptations to be made to an individual’s home. Many will also schedule a trial stay to determine whether the facility is a good fit for them as their new home.
At Penrose Court, we make sure each of our residents enjoys a welcoming and enjoyable stay, whether it’s on a short or long-term basis.
What does Respite Care mean?
Respite care can take many forms, individuals may organise short stays at Penrose Court for themselves after a hospital stay or illness. Short respite stays can also provide a crucial break for carers to do daily chores, go on holiday or simply have some well-earned time off whilst residents often enjoy the chance to meet new people and try out new activities.
A respite stay could be anything from a couple of weeks to a few months – depending on each individual’s needs. Respite care is ideal for those looking for convalescence, either following a hospital stay or an illness. Many people also arrange a trial stay as a temporary resident to see if the home is the right choice for them as their new home.
Our Approach to Respite Care
At Penrose Court we are committed to ensuring that you and your loved ones have total peace of mind. All of our short term residents received the same great level of personal-centred care that our long stay community does, we really do offer a home from home.
Our respite care packages are designed to allow people a little R&R weather that be the carer or the person being cared for. Individuals may also choose to join us for a short stay just to recharge their batteries before going back to independent living. Whatever the reason for choosing respite care you will be assured of a warm welcome at Penrose Court.
