Our team is here to help residents live an independent life with as much or as little support as they wish. Our approach to residential care is about more than simply meeting the care needs of our residents; instead, we look after their overall wellbeing to ensure that their health, hearts, and minds are equally cared for.
Whether you’re looking simply to move to a new home without the stress of upkeep and maintenance, or if you need care throughout the day, our team is trained to ensure each individual is given as much, or as little support as they need.
What Does Residential Care Mean to Us?
Penrose Courts’ Residential Care allows you to live your life the way you choose. Our person-centred approach is delivered by specialist staff 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is important to us that each of our residents live how they want to, embracing all of their differences and passions, ensuring an active social life.
The levels of care and assistance provided when it comes to Residential Care is entirely unique to each one of our residents and their personal requirements. In many cases, the support required will be relatively minimal and in others the degree of assistance required will be much higher. It truly is dependent on the individual and no matter what level of care is required, our team is always on hand to help.
Our Approach to Residential Care
Residential care at Penrose Court is a great option for people that may have difficulty living independently, however some older people prefer to live in a residential care home as it provides security, social interaction and ongoing support and assistance. People often have the misconception that residential care is a “last resort” and only need a care home when they are very unwell or completely unable to manage, however there are many residents that simply enjoy the many benefits a care home has to offer.
What Can I Expect From Residential Care at Penrose Court?
Before arrival, we spend time with each new resident and their family to ensure that a bespoke care plan can be created for each individual. Should care needs change over time that’s no problem – we have a friendly, caring team who can help and adapt your care as required.
Is Residential Care the Best Option?
Residential care caters for a variety of needs such as bathing, dressing and taking medication. Perhaps you or your loved one are finding it difficult to live alone at home because of reduced mobility or illness. Perhaps the responsibility of maintaining a home has become too much. If this is the case then residential care might be right for you.
