Residential Care

Our team is here to help residents live an independent life with as much or as little support as they wish. Our approach to residential care is about more than simply meeting the care needs of our residents; instead, we look after their overall well-being to ensure that their health, hearts, and minds are equally cared for.

Whether you’re looking simply to move to a new home without the stress of upkeep and maintenance, or if you need care throughout the day, our team is trained to ensure each individual is given as much, or as little support as they need.

What is Residential Care?

Residential care is designed to assist individuals with activities of daily living, personal care, medication administration, and mobility. Residential care means that residents can treat our home as their own and live their lives as they normally would, whilst taking advantage of the many services and facilities available in-house. This type of care is long-term and typically provided to older people who would like to benefit from group living or would like support with everyday activities.

Residential Care at Penrose Court Care Home

Residential care at Penrose Court Care Home is a great option for older people that may have difficulty living independently or who would prefer to live in a residential care home for the security, social interaction, and ongoing support that it provides. People often have the misconception that residential care is a “last resort” and only need a care home when they are very unwell or completely unable to manage, however, there are many residents that simply enjoy the many benefits a care home has to offer.

Residential Care FAQs

Residential care is an ideal solution for those who require full-time accommodation and the option of around-the-clock support with personal care and some medical needs. It is also a great option for those feeling lonely or who would benefit from group living. Similar to residential care, nursing care also provides 24/7 care and support but it is designed for those who need additional help from registered nurses who can administer medication and medical treatment at any time.

The personalised care plans we develop for our residents are regularly monitored and assessed. If our resident’s care needs change while living with us at Penrose Court Care Home, then our team will work with them and their family to adjust their care plan as necessary to ensure their needs are fully being met. Penrose Court Care Home is proud to provide a continuum of care meaning should care needs change, residents do not have to move to a different care home.

The services and facilities provided by care homes and nursing homes all vary, but at Penrose Court Care Home, you can expect 24-hour support with medical care and personal well-being as well as housekeeping and laundry services, dining, activities and entertainment and in-house facilities such as a Cinema Room, Gardens, Hairdressers & Beauty Salon and more.
