Prior to moving into Penrose Court, prospective residents and their loved ones are invited for a consultation with our Home Manager to ensure that we can meet their every need and to offer our advice and guidance. For instance, Franklin Recreation Ground is less than a 10-minute drive from Penrose Court Care Home, and is a great place for picturesque riverside walks, and even has a playground for kids of all ages.

Just a further 5 minute drive from here is Biggleswade Town Centre, a lively hub that boasts independent shops, cafes and pubs. It is here that Biggleswade holds its weekly markets in the square, that date all the way back to the 12th century. There is a charter market that runs on Saturdays, and a smaller weekly market that visits on Tuesdays. The markets present a perfect opportunity for those who enjoy wandering leisurely around an array of stalls, as they offer everything from fresh food and plants, to homewares, gifts and cards.

Also located just a short distance from Penrose Court Care Home in Biggleswade is the esteemed Shuttleworth Collection. Named after Richard Shuttleworth, the collection consists of a variety of old aircraft and vehicles that he rescued in the 1930’s and brought back to the grounds of Old Warden Park to restore.
