Residential Care Home in Biggleswade

Penrose Court is a private, luxury Residential Care Home situated in the market town of Biggleswade. Our home also offers Nursing Care, Dementia Care, and Respite Care for up to 65 residents who require specialist or elderly care. We are proud of the high standard of care we offer our residents in a homely atmosphere which also has a range of outstanding facilities that we encourage all residents to make use of.

What is a Residential Care Home?

A residential care home provides older people and those who have difficulty living independently with accommodation, around-the-clock care, and access to a range of in-house facilities. This environment also offers “group living,” making it a great alternative for people who prefer not to live alone or feel more comfortable in the company of others.

In a residential care facility, care staff is on hand day and night to provide care and support of all kinds to residents, including personal care, medication management, mobility, and communication. Some additional care services including nursing, dementia, and respite care may also be offered by some residential care facilities.

People in residential care are able to continue living their lives while being relieved of the demands of daily life. All meals are provided, along with social activities and day trips, and additional medical services, such as physiotherapy visits and GP visits can be arranged with the assistance of staff

Supporting our Residents at Penrose Court

At Penrose Court Care Home, we value both quality of care and quality of life. We offer residents a friendly, comforting and supportive environment, where they can live their lives the way they want to, with as much or as little assistance as they would like from our teams.

We encourage all of our residents to make full use of the facilities we have on offer, such as our private landscaped gardens, hairdressers and beauty salon, and cinema room. We want our residents to feel like our home is truly their own, and with the help of our varied activities programme, residents are free to lead as active and social a lifestyle as they like.

We understand the difficulty that comes with choosing a care home and the importance in finding the best care for you or your loved one. Before moving into Penrose Court, we offer prospective residents and their loved ones the opportunity to have a consultation with our Home Manager, where guidance and advice is offered to ensure that we can meet their individual personal needs.

When a resident joins our family at Penrose Court, we provide them with a tailored care plan that meets their specific requirements. All care plans are regularly monitored and amended if necessary, so residents and their loved ones can rest assured that they are always receiving the most appropriate care for them. We are committed to providing the best possible care for our residents, and our home is rated by The Care Quality Commission (CQC), which frequently inspects us and other adult health and social care services across England to ensure we are providing care to a high standard.
