Easter Egg Hunts & Spring Preparations

This month has been all about Easter and welcoming in the new season here at Penrose Court Care Home in Bedfordshire.

The weather has been very kind to us recently, providing us with plenty of opportunities to get out in our private garden, including a gardening session and an Easter egg hunt.

Our green-fingered residents thoroughly enjoyed an afternoon in the sunshine, weeding and planting some flowers for the warmer months ahead. Gardening is a fantastic inclusive activity where everybody can get involved and provides residents with fresh air, vitamin D, and some light exercise.

With our garden now full of beautiful blooms, the sunny Easter weekend was the perfect opportunity for residents and staff to get outside and admire the flowers and planters, as well as participate in an Easter egg hunt.

The hunt was organised for our residents, who then had to locate golden eggs in exchange for lots of chocolate goodies. It was great fun and both the residents and staff enjoyed working together to find the eggs.

It is important to us at Penrose Court Care Home that we have a full and inclusive activities programme that gives residents events to look forward to as well as opportunities to learn new things, pursue their interests and continue with the things they love to do.

We also like to provide residents with a variety of ways to socialise with each other and those in our community in order to support their social wellbeing.
