A Fascinating Day Out at Shuttleworth

Residents at Penrose Court Care Home enjoyed a fascinating day out to Shuttleworth, stepping back in time and discovering more about the incredible collection of historic aircraft and vehicles.

Located near Biggleswade, Shuttleworth is home to a remarkable collection of vintage aircraft, as well as historic cars, motorcycles, buses, bicycles and other fascinating exhibits.

There was plenty for residents to see and explore during the visit, with the historic aircraft proving a particular highlight. For many, seeing the impressive planes and other exhibits provided an opportunity to reminisce, share stories and reflect on how much technology and transport have changed over the years.

Days out like this are a wonderful way for residents to enjoy a change of scenery while continuing to explore interesting places in the local area. They also provide plenty of opportunities for conversation, whether discussing the exhibits, sharing memories or simply enjoying the experience together.

Of course, no day out would be complete without a little time to relax and enjoy some refreshments. Residents took a well-earned break for coffee and cake, providing the perfect opportunity to sit back, chat and reflect on an enjoyable afternoon.
