Resident with Loved One

All the staff at Penrose Court Care Home are compassionate and we have highly-trained professionals who offer our residents around-the-clock Nursing Care, Residential Care, Dementia Care, and Respite Care. When a resident moves into our home, they can expect our friendly team to work closely with them and their loved ones to curate a care plan that meets their individual needs and interests, and to ensure they maintain independence and dignity. These plans are then constantly monitored by our professionals and changed if necessary.

Our residential care home is also proud to be regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The CQC are an independent regulatory body who inspect health and adult social care services all across England. This means that you can have peace of mind knowing that we at Penrose Court Care Home are always striving to offer excellent, high standards of care and facilities to each and every resident.

We aim to provide all the modern comfort our residents need with a home-from-home feel. Our luxury care home offers an exemplary and warm environment with beautifully decorated en-suite bedrooms, a variety of dining options and delicious meals made with seasonal ingredients, and beautiful landscaped gardens as well as the opportunity to make use of our in-house cinema, hairdressers, and beauty salon. We take a holistic approach to care, so in addition to these amenities, our care packages also include access to a GP, Optician, Dentist, Physiotherapist, and Chiropodist.

Nursing Care

For those who need assistance with both medical and personal living needs, nursing care is the most appropriate form of support. Our care home in Bedfordshire has a dedicated team of nurses who have extensive experience in the care sector and provide 24-hour specialist care to individuals who have higher dependence requirements, physical disabilities, and long-term health conditions.

With our around-the-clock care and bespoke nursing care plans, we can ensure that every single resident receives the exact care and support that is needed for them, no matter when they need it.

Residential Care

Residential care providers offer support and personal care for older people who can live independently most of the time but may be looking for the companionship that comes with a nursing home, or who may just need that extra level of help with day-to-day living, such as with mobility and medication management.

Like with all types of care we offer, through a combination of care, facilities and activities, we can ensure that all the needs of our residents are fully met and daily life is varied. Residents of Penrose Court Care Home who require residential care can receive as little or as much assistance from our trained care professionals as they need at all times of the day and we can easily adapt to nursing care if their needs change.

Dementia Care

We are very proud that our care home in Biggleswade offers around-the-clock support and care for those living with dementia. At Penrose Court Care Home, we have worked hard to create a safe and supportive environment that enables our residents with dementia to make the most of every day.

In order to do this, our specialised staff receives ongoing training and resources and our wellbeing and activity coordinators produce a thoroughly planned programme that includes dementia-friendly activities. Collaborating with our dementia residents and their families means that we can meet their specific needs and provide the very best person-centred care for them as well as better our overall approach to dementia care.

Respite Care

At our luxury care home, we provide respite care that has been designed to provide short-term care for individuals for a number of reasons. Many people choose this form of support as they transition out of hospital after an operation or being treated for an illness. They are also an ideal solution for carers who may simply need a break or some time off for themselves and their needs.

The length of a respite stay can vary from weeks to several months, or as long as required for the resident or carer to get back on their feet. During this time, residents will benefit from 24/7 care, socialising, and making full use of our facilities and activities programme. It is also a great opportunity for those to experience a care home and helps decide whether going into a care home full-time is the right decision for them. A minimum stay of 3 weeks applies to our respite care package.
