Care at Penrose Court
Prior to your arrival, our Home Manager Elizabeth Parker will be delighted to have a full consultation with you to discuss your needs and requirements and tell you everything you need to know about Penrose Court.
RESIDENTIAL AND NURSING SUPPORT
Our team are here to help residents live an independent life with as much or as little support as they wish.
Our approach to residential care is about more than simply meeting the care needs of our residents; instead, we look after their overall well-being to ensure that their health, hearts, and minds are equally cared for. Whether you’re looking simply to move to a new home without the stress of upkeep and maintenance, or if you need care throughout the day, our team are trained to ensure each individual is given as much, or as little support as they need.
Before arrival, we spend time with each new resident and their family to ensure that a bespoke care plan can be created for each individual. Should care needs change over time that’s no problem – we have a friendly, caring team who can help and adapt your care as required.
We are proud to offer Dementia care at Penrose Court. Our home is designed to provide a secure, caring and friendly environment for those with dementia.
Our staff are fully trained to understand dementia, and we take pride in providing the highest levels of care and respect for every individual. Through daily planned activities, social and mental stimulation and interaction, frustrations, and tensions linked with dementia are relieved.
Together with family and loved ones we get to know our residents in order to create an accurate picture of their life – in order to ensure their ongoing happiness, comfort, and well-being.
Our open visiting hours mean that resident’s families are welcome at all times.
At Penrose Court, we know that sometimes everyone needs a timeout. Whether you care for a loved one or need a break yourself, you can truly relax knowing that a safe, welcoming environment awaits.
A respite stay could be anything from a couple of weeks to a few months – depending on each individual’s needs. Respite care is ideal for those looking for convalescence, either following a hospital stay or an illness. Many people also arrange a trial stay as a temporary resident to see if the home is the right choice for them as their new home.
At Penrose Court, we make sure each of our residents enjoys a welcoming and enjoyable stay, whether it’s on a short or long-term basis.
Respite care can be worked around your life and care plan, with care provided to each specific need. We are always working on new strategies to develop the best possible care and would be delighted to chat through your needs.
